Desert Beacon is pleased to partner with the City of Twentynine Palms on the Vacation Home Rental (VHR) Certificate Training Program, also known as the Good Neighbor Class. This program is based on the City’s initiative to require VHR property owners, hosts, and property managers to obtain a VHR certificate prior to receiving and/or renewing a VHR License. In June of 2022, the City of Twentynine Palms adopted changes to the Vacation Rental Ordinance after a series of VHR Advisory Committee meetings (pictured below).
One of the key recommendations was the development of an educational class to ensure that current and future hosts in the City of Twentynine Palms would have the proper resources to operate responsibly moving forward. Desert Beacon is proud to assist The City with the development of the curriculum, and we are happy to be a community resource to ensure that VHRs are operated in a responsible manner and do not become a nuisance within our community. Desert Beacon also understands the importance of tourism to our local economy, and together with our community we want to ensure the visitors we host are respectful of our beautiful desert community.
