At Desert Beacon, our mission is to balance the unique needs of our local Joshua Tree Gateway area community with the needs of the property owners and the many visitors they host annually. We have positions available in the Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms area. May work primarily at job sites, but position may require one to two days per week in our Twentynine Palms office. Must have reliable transportation to and from job site. Mileage reimbursement ay $0.62 per mile is provided when traveling from job site to job site. Individuals with prior short term rental / AirBnB vacation rental cleaning is a plus.

Our goal is to hire and retain quality local staff and reinvest in our community. Benefits of working for Desert Beacon include:


  • Opportunities for advancement in housekeeping and property management/steward roles.
  • Educational opportunities with in-house training programs as well as opportunity to obtain certification through the International Janitorial Services Association after six months of employment.
  • Up to 80 hours paid time off per year after for full-time (36 hours and up) employees, eligible for use after 90 days of continuous employment.
  • Retention bonus of $250 at three and six months for housekeeping employees, provided no attendance or disciplinary issues are noted. Part time (20 hours a week minimum) employees and full time employees are eligible.
  • Health insurance options for full-time (36 hours and up) employees, eligible for use after 90 days of continuous employment.
